Place it in a sunny spot and bougainvillea will reward you with its flowering bracts. Make it into whatever form you prefer.
Plain Area-Allow the bougainvillea to cascade. Plant it with a contrasting climber for interest.
Arch-Weave the long branches into an arch. To make an arbour, allow the front branches to hang down from the arch.
Container-Stunt the growth of the plant in a pot. Make it into a standard by removing all lower branches. It becomes more manageable. When the flowering bracts fade, cut off about half of each branch and it will bloom again.
