Designing displays for shop windows is a satisfying job. The display lifts the moods of people passing by, entertains certain age groups, invites people to linger, encourages viewers to enter the shop and hopefully influences them to spend money inside the shop.
Often we have our favourite shop displays at certain times of year. We visit them as we know we won’t be disappointed. Famous large stores never fail to please. Every winter in Newcastle on Tyne, UK the window displays attract many shoppers. Last year I was impressed by the Alice In Wonderland (children’s book written by Lewis Carroll) display. It filled eight windows. It enchanted me, so children must have enjoyed it even more!
